![]() The Skipper
Carl
Comer has a boundless enthusium for the ocean and fishing, both on and
under the surface.
From his
early years when he would row the dinghy out to fish while on a family
holiday, as he was too young to use the outboard motor, or at 9 years of age when he would dive down and capture paua
with his bare hands, through
to the present day where that enthusiasm still runs deep. He
embraces all aspects of sport and game fishing.
A
quiet man by nature, Carl is not one to push his own barrow.
His
influence can be quite evident however, especially when he takes a
novice angler under his wing to guide them to achieve their goals,
whether that is to catch their first snapper, increase their success
rate, or even take out the trip jackpot!
With 28 years spent fishing from White Island through to North Cape and beyond, with a stint working on a gamefishing boat in Fiji, has provided Carl with a broad knowledge of most aspects of the sport. Never one to sit on his laurels, Carl is always eager to learn. Lately it has been flicking around bits of plastic to keep up with the newest craze of softbaiting. With 20 plus years of Scuba diving under his belt, Carl knows what makes a dive successful and safe. Dives can be structured to suit your experience or requirements. A hot shower on your return will also maximise your pleasure. Whether your goal is a relaxing holiday weekend or to learn or improve your skills in an aspect of fishing, Carl is more than happy to help. "Fun times
are the ultimate Goal"
